We want to make sure everyone is aware of the forthcoming Economic Injury Disaster Loans that will be available for Alaska businesses (small businesses and nonprofit organizations) through the Small Business Administration (SBA).
Governor Dunleavy has submitted an Economic Injury Disaster Loan assistance request to the SBA. Loans are *not yet available* — the SBA needs to take care of some administrative steps before loan requests can be submitted. This will take 3-4 days, possibly longer. Businesses that want to receive loan relief can start preparing things now.
Here’s the best available guide on what this all means, what will be available, and what the process is: https://bit.ly/390Tz7j
Businesses are advised to prepare the following and contact the Alaska Small Business Development Center for further information:
• Gather the past 3 years of taxes
• Gather the past 3 years of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheets)
• Prepare a narrative explaining the losses due to the COVID-19 virus
