A reminder, Emergency Ordinance 2020-14, requiring all people arriving in Sitka to self-quarantine for 14-days, is in effect until State of Alaska COVID-19 Health Mandate 10 is rescinded or June 14 (61 days after adoption), whichever occurs first. The Assembly of the City and Borough of Sitka is reevaluating this Ordinance at their May 12 meeting. For more information contact the Public Information Officer at 747-1899 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, per State of Alaska COVID-19 Health Mandate 10, individuals entering Alaska are required to self-quarantine for 14-days and monitor for illness. After you land, you will need to fill out the mandatory State of Alaska Travel Declaration form online and identify your quarantine location (your home or lodging in Alaska). Those under quarantine cannot visit any public spaces and cannot allow visitors. If you are returning to a home where others live, other household members will not be required to quarantine with you but are expected to keep at least six feet away at all times. Governor Dunleavy is expected to reevaluate Health Mandate 10 on May 19.
