Staying Connected with Friends and Family

How do you say hello and I love you during these trying times? We’re all missing face-to-face time with our friends, family, coworkers and others, but we’re also all learning new ways to stay connected during this pandemic. It’s vital for our mental health. Emoji check ins, phone calls, emails, virtual game nights, Zoom socials, Netflix parties or leaving notes, care packages, poetry or books on someone’s front porch… there are so many creative ways to stay connected. Don’t forget Sitka’s great outdoors, where it’s easy to be six feet apart in the fresh, cold air. Just make sure you bundle up well and mask up when you can’t stay at least six feet apart.
